Overview

DeskMove ("the App") is an iOS break reminder app that validates physical movement via on-device sensors. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information — in short: we don't collect any.

Data We Collect

None. DeskMove stores all data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The following information exists only on your device and your personal iCloud account:

• Break session history (mission type, duration, completion time)
• Daily goal history (for accurate streak calculation across devices)
• App preferences (break interval, work hours, active days, daily goal)
• In-app purchase status (Pro)

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your break history and goal history sync across your Apple devices via CloudKit. This sync occurs entirely within your personal Apple ID and iCloud account. We have no access to this data whatsoever.

Camera Usage

DeskMove Pro includes three camera-powered missions that use your front camera entirely on-device:

• Vision Reset: Detects neck rolls (ear-to-shoulder tilts) using Apple's Vision framework to guide the exercise.
• Head Nod: Detects forward and backward head nods to count repetitions.
• Head Shake: Detects left and right head turns to count repetitions.

Camera frames are processed in real-time using Apple's Vision framework. No video, images, or facial data are stored, transmitted, or shared. Camera access is only active while a camera mission is in progress.

Motion & Fitness Usage

DeskMove uses motion sensors to validate physical movement missions:

• The Shaker: Uses the accelerometer to detect continuous phone shaking.
• The Stepper: Uses the pedometer to count steps taken.
• The Squat: Uses motion data to detect squat repetitions via pitch angle changes.

All motion data is processed in real-time during the mission and discarded immediately after completion. Nothing is stored beyond the session duration and completion time recorded in your break history.

Notifications

DeskMove uses Apple's notification system to send timely break reminders, including Time Sensitive notifications that can break through Focus modes. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device — no data is sent to any server to trigger them. You can configure the reminder interval, work hours window, and active days entirely within the app.

In-App Purchases

DeskMove uses Apple's StoreKit framework for all purchases. Transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or any identifying information when you make a purchase.

Third-Party Services

DeskMove uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. The app contains no tracking code of any kind.

Children's Privacy

DeskMove does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The app contains no mechanisms to collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Given our zero-data-collection approach, substantive changes are unlikely.
