Privacy Policy

The Short Version: Fundwise uses a "Zero-Knowledge" architecture. We do not have access to your financial data, your transactions, or your budget. Everything is stored on your device and synchronized via your personal iCloud.

Data Collection

Fundwise collects minimal data required to function:

Financial Data: Stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud Database (CloudKit). We (the developers) cannot access this.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregate telemetry (e.g., "App crashed on launch") to fix bugs. This is never linked to your financial data.
No Account Required: You do not create an account with us. We do not have your email address or phone number.

Data Storage & Sync

We use Apple's CloudKit for synchronization.

Your data is encrypted by Apple and stored in your private iCloud container.
Syncing happens directly between your devices and Apple's servers.
We do not operate any servers that process your financial records.

Bank Connections

Fundwise does not connect to bank accounts (Plaid, Yodlee, etc.). This eliminates the risk of banking credential theft and ensures your banking data remains private.

Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. The app contains no third-party tracking SDKs (like Facebook or Google Analytics).

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

Export: You can export all your data to CSV/JSON at any time from Settings.
Delete: You can delete all data from Settings, which removes it from your device and your iCloud container immediately.
