Master the classic mine-detecting puzzle game

📖 Getting Started

Minesweeper is a classic puzzle where you clear a field of hidden mines using number clues. Tap to reveal cells, long-press to flag suspected mines!

🎮 Controls

Tap: Reveal a cell
Long Press: Place/remove a flag
Double Tap: Auto-reveal adjacent cells (when flags match the number)

💡 Strategy Tips

Start with corners or edges for better odds. Look for patterns like 1-2-1 or 1-2-2-1. Use flags to mark definite mines and help with counting!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play Minesweeper?

The goal is to clear all cells that don't contain mines. Numbers show how many mines are in the 8 adjacent cells. Use this information to deduce where mines are located. Flag all mines and reveal all safe cells to win!

What do the numbers mean?

Each number tells you exactly how many mines are hidden in the 8 cells surrounding that number. For example:
1 = One mine in adjacent cells
2 = Two mines in adjacent cells
3 = Three mines in adjacent cells
Empty cells mean no mines are adjacent.

What are the difficulty levels?

Beginner: 9×9 grid with 10 mines (12% density)
Intermediate: 16×16 grid with 40 mines (16% density)
Expert: 30×16 grid with 99 mines (21% density)
Custom: Create your own challenge!

Is the first click always safe?

Yes! The game ensures your first tap is always on a safe cell. Mines are placed after your first move, so you'll never lose on the first click. This gives you a starting point to work from.

What's the double-tap feature?

When you've flagged the correct number of mines around a revealed number, double-tapping that number will automatically reveal all remaining adjacent cells. This speeds up gameplay but be careful - incorrect flags will trigger mines!

How can I improve my times?

Practice these techniques:
• Learn common patterns (1-2-1, 1-2-2-1)
• Use the double-tap feature effectively
• Work systematically from known safe areas
• Don't over-flag - only flag certain mines
• Practice on Beginner to build speed and pattern recognition

What happens when I win?

When you successfully clear all non-mine cells, you'll see a victory animation and your completion time. If it's your best time for that difficulty, it will be saved to your records. You can then start a new game or try a harder difficulty!
