Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log my period?

Tap any day on the Calendar tab to open the daily log screen. Set the flow intensity (none, spotting, light, medium, or heavy) and tap Save. Aura will automatically detect when a new cycle starts based on your flow entries. You can also add symptoms, mood, temperature, and notes from the same screen.
How accurate are the predictions?
↓
Predictions improve with more data. After 3 completed cycles, Aura uses a rolling average of your last 6 cycles to predict your next period and ovulation date. If your cycles vary significantly in length, predictions will reflect that variability. The Insights tab shows your regularity score so you always know how consistent your cycle is.
How do I set up period reminders?

Go to Settings → Notifications. Enable period reminders and choose how many days before your predicted period you'd like to be notified. Aura will automatically reschedule the reminder whenever your prediction updates.
How does Apple Health integration work?

Go to Settings → Apple Health and grant permission. Aura can read overnight wrist temperature from your Apple Watch (Series 8 or later) to auto-fill basal body temperature, and write your logged period data to the Health app. Both are optional — Aura works fully without Health access. All data stays on-device.
What is Aura Premium and what does it unlock?

Aura Premium unlocks the Insights tab (cycle length charts, BBT chart, cycle summary), Apple Health integration, PDF export, and advanced symptom tracking. It's available as a monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime purchase.
How do I restore my purchase?

Open Aura → Settings → Aura Premium and tap "Restore Purchases." As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase, your Premium status will be restored automatically at no charge.
Is my cycle data private?

Completely. Your data never leaves your device or your personal iCloud account. Aura has no backend servers, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. The developer cannot see your data under any circumstances. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I export a PDF report?

Go to Settings → Export PDF Report. Aura generates a 6-month cycle summary including period dates, cycle lengths, symptoms, and BBT data. The PDF opens in the iOS share sheet so you can save it to Files, print it, or send it directly to your doctor.
My data isn't syncing across devices — what should I do?

Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and that iCloud is enabled in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud. Sync is handled by Apple's CloudKit and typically takes a few seconds to a minute. If sync is still not working, try opening Aura on both devices and waiting a moment — the first launch after install triggers an initial sync.
